PLR and MRR: check the license before using a file
What to look for when choosing digital resources for a project.

The catalogue label is only a starting point
A PLR or MRR label does not explain every permitted action. Read the terms supplied with the specific file. Library membership does not expand those rights. Keep the license with the source and version of the file you use.
Separate use, editing and resale
Check whether you may use the material in your projects, edit it, sell a finished product or distribute editable source files. These are different actions and may have different permissions. Do not pass on rights you have not received.
Check the assets inside the file
Images, fonts, music and brands may have separate terms. Check software requirements, external accounts and links. A PDF containing Canva links is different from a download containing actual video files.
When the terms are unclear
If the license is missing or does not cover your intended use, ask the supplier or support before commercial use or redistribution. A catalogue cover is not evidence of rights. Each Exhale library file has its own license.
Keep a practical record
Note the file name, source, license version, permitted uses, restrictions and any attribution requirements. Check before making promises to your own customers. Read our license guide and ask support if you need help locating a library file’s terms.
